This course provides delegates with a review of the key changes introduced in ISO 14001:2026 and the transition from ISO 14001:2015. The course is designed to familiarize auditors with the revised requirements and the areas that may affect the auditing and certification process.
Particular attention is given to:
* An overview of the publication of ISO 14001:2026 and the proposed transition timelines.
* Key changes, clarifications, and restructuring throughout the standard, including updates to terminology and definitions.
* Changes to organizational context, interested parties, environmental aspects and the life cycle perspective.
* The revised requirements for risks and opportunities and the new 'Planning of Changes' requirement in Section 6.3.
* Changes relating to externally provided processes, products and services and associated documented information.
* Updates to internal audit program requirements, management review and continual improvement.
* The practical implications of these changes for clients and Certification Bodies.
* Changes to PJR audit workbook templates and the application of the revised requirements during ISO 14001:2026 audits.
* Guidance to assist auditors in understanding and applying the transition requirements when conducting audits.
The course also provides information on the transition from ISO 14001:2015 to ISO 14001:2026, including the proposed transition deadlines and the actions being taken by PJR to prepare for the transition.
Course participants who successfully pass the examination for this course will receive a Certificate of Completion.
